home theater system One thing I consider a big reward for myself  is to get all my work done, prepare a pot of tea, and snuggle up with my home theater system to watch a movie in the afternoon. I'm an early riser so I'm usually done working by 2 PM as a rule, and that leaves me two hours to watch a movie on the home theater system before anyone else is home from work or school. Next to reading books, my favorite entertainment is watching movies, especially documentaries about history or science, something that I don't share with the rest of the people in the family, so when I have some quiet time, I put in a DVD, pick up my knitting, and plan on having an enjoyable time. Our home theater system has to be one of the most valued objects in the house. We use it for entertainment and education and the kids and I have a ball playing video games on it. The video games are great, especially for building motor skills and in my case, retaining them. They keep me on my toes for reaction time and flexibility, so I consider our home theater system the core for family fun at home.
