Crash of the Titans - Xbox 360
As a young teen, my video game console of choice lied with Sony. From the Playstation to the PS2, all gaming went down on these systems. During that time, my favorite genre of game was racing or action adventure. I always wanted the latest and greatest shooters on the market but until I was older my mom put her foot down on that issue. She was someone who followed the rating system to a T. If an awesome R-rated action flick hit the box office and I was nearly foaming at the mouth to see it, my mom would simply say, “See the rating, you are not 17 young man,” That was that. I never snuck into a theater to peak at what all those 17+ were getting to see but there were those many times I would get my hands on rental R movies.
Sometimes my mom would actually rent them and watch with me over our DVD home theater. Let me tell you, there is nothing more awkward then watching a R-rated action flick with your mom in the early teen years when a shot of boobs hits the screen. There weren’t even LCD HDTVs back then. She would always try to cover my eyes. When we saw Titanic in theaters, the nude painting scene had her trying to cover my eyes while I wriggled around them partly to see what all the fuss was about and because it was embarrassing to have someone throw their hand in your face mid movie.

This same kind of mindset was applied to video games. Leading to an infatuation with the Crash Bandicoot series. This wild looking furry creature didn’t come with a mature game rating but still had the sarcastic attitude I couldn’t help but laugh at. The gaming was fun with the arcade styled side scroller is similar to Donkey Kong Country.
When I was browsing the digital shelves within Mye Emporium at http://www.myeemporium.com/ for some new home theater components, I took a second to venture into the video game section. Thankfully I did because in front me came a Crash Banidcoot title never before witnessed. Crash of the Titans brought back all those gaming memories. And it was for Xbox 360. Seen in the trailer above this 23.99 dollar game would be a lot of fun even for an old dude like myself over the LCD HDTV and home theater system. The voice of evil Dr. Cortex on the DVD home theater would take me right back to 13 years old. This LCD HDTV edition even has co-op. Leave it to Mye Emporium to have such a nostalgic video game.
