There are some months that come by where I have to be really budget-conscious. It is during these months where I try to cook at home instead of eating out, and where I try to stay in as many nights as possible and watch movies on my DVD home theater instead of overspending out at the movies, or clubbing. This is one of the main reasons why I purchased a DVD home theater – so that I could enjoy more nights at home where I am not overspending and breaking my budget, as opposed to going out all of the time and spending too much money on things and entertainment that I really can do without. Between my DVD home theater and my cable network provider, I can enjoy hours of endless entertainment, and the only cost is the affordable monthly bill of renting the movies or paying my smaller cable subscription cost monthly. I have found that in just a few months of staying at home more often, that I have saved so much money that I have actually been able to pay off a few old credit card bills.
